Shelby's story
Shelby is a fourteen year old girl with cerebral palsy. She began using assistive technology when she was only two years old. Assistive technology has allowed Shelby to stay in classes with her friend by helping her being able to do her work. Also it has helped her with access at home answering the phone, opening the doors, watching t.v, etc. she can be more independent and can do things herself. Shelby makes speeches and helps educated people on assistive technology. She’s been doing this since she was six.

Sarah's story
Sarah is in college and has Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) which turns her muscle into bone. As she gets older she loses mobility. Assistive Technology has helped sarah do the things that she enjoys. Like playing on the computer, shopping, going to school, crafts, etc. Sarah has a very positive outlook on life and she plans on furthering her education. She wants to be a Spanish interpreter for a hospital. During the summer sarah takes more college classes. She likes going to school and living on dorm because it gives her the social life outside of class.

Sharrod Williams story
When Sharrod was 9 years old he got bacterial meningitis. He was in the hospital for months fighting for his life. He had to get a partial amputation of all four of his limbs. Prosthetic limbs and his wheelchair has helped him get around and go to school. He has been able to start a family with his wife and carry on with his life. He was able to find various jobs while in college and he became a foster parent with his wife. He was able to get a van that helps him get from place to place with his wheel chair and now his life is still carrying on.
